Hey there!

Great news in our world. The new record will be in stores on May 6th and we'll be celebrating its release on Friday, May 2nd at the Triple Rock in Minneapolis.

Our excitement about this record is palpable. We will be getting it ready for digital release in the coming weeks, so stay tuned for that sort of availability and mail order methods as well.

We've got three shows currently confirmed in the Minneapolis area for the next couple months, but have a bunch of out of town stuff almost ready to throw on the calendar, some sooner than later. Stay tuned for next week's newsletter for those updates. Go outside. - all the way rider

Hello.

We think you're lovely.

We do.

In fact, we think you are so lovely that we can't think of a better gift to give than the one we are giving on Friday...a free show which you would normally pay upwards of $3-$6 for!

This isn't just any ordinary show, though...Traindodge is making an appearance, that's like unmasking Batman or something.

Speaking of Batman...why don't we let Robin save the day for once?

Anyhoo...let's wrap this up...free show on Friday.

Buy drinks on the barside, so we get paid something, eh?

Love,
casanasty

Hello sweet friends of Kingfield...

We've been writing like madmen over the past couple of weeks and are very excited with the results.

We're thinking you'll be quite happy as well.

We got a nice little idea brewing that will get our new music out far faster than it would be if you had to sit and stew while you wait for our next full length.

As we get 4 songs together that we feel are "keepers", we're going to have our friend and former guitarist, Jeff Halland, come into the space with his trusty ProTools rig and get a good live recording of us for a digital EP release.

There may need to be some vocal overdubbing, but that's all yet to be determined. In fact, we've not even asked Mr. Halland if he's down for such a thing...but we're confident we can coax him into it.

On the performance side of the coin, apparently our young Mr. Shane Baskerville is tight with someone in the band Green Jello. You just may see a Kingfield debut at the 4th St. Station in June. Pink Bathrobes, Tortoise Sunglasses, and Kingfield Socks (embroidered with our cute little bear and crossbones logo) will be sported by Joel "MetroMETuAL" Andersen.

If this ridiculous fiaso acutally comes to fruition, we'll be sure to let you know far in advance so you can come and throw Pez dispensers at us. Ok...maybe not, but it sounds like fun, yeah?

Warm Fuzzies,

Brett (B'JayJay), Joel (DJ Newport 100), Jaime (MC SippyCup), & Shane (Shane)

Greetings once again from Seconds Before HQ.

We're looking forward to what promises to be another fun-filled show at the 7th Street Entry on Friday, March 21 with our fellow BWR teammates All The Way Rider, Attention, and The Kickback. Come on out early (we're playing first, natch) and stay all night.

The new album is coming along nicely and now has a name - Change Is The Only Constant. We're wrapping up the mix on the final song this week. There are a whole cast of characters who have helped us so far and we want to point out the guilty parties - Bill Collins tracked all the instruments at three different studios, Matt Kirkwold produced the vocal tracking and performed amazing backing vocals and keyboard work, and James "Fluff" Harley has created miraculous mixes that pound our senses into oblivion. Thanks amigos!

We'll soon be handing off the final mixes to our friends Dave Young and Ian Allison of Down And Above for mastering. We're still a little early to have a solid release date, but we're getting closer every day.

Cheers,
Brian, Carl, Chris, Jason, & Mike

In sickness and in health (in this case, illness beyond comfort)...Yachts & Planes are raging on. And what’s the best way to cure any illness? Whiskey! Listed here are some chances for you to come out, see a great rock show, and buy us whiskey to help us feel better.

The Hexagon, this Friday, March 7. A great bill featuring Casanatra and Redoverlunar, and (according to the Farmers’ Almanac) “guaranteed to be freakshow”.

Also we will be at the Big V's in April with a line up of mystery bands we don't know. Further details on that event shall be forthcoming.

Love,

Yachts & Planes
