Casanatra came to be in early 2002 when Lance Reed, Jer Fink and Dennis Asher found
themselves without any commitments and a desire to spend the most time possible in
musical telepathy with each other.
Each brought a part of their past endeavors to create a
sound that was forged in rock but injected with elements of almost every musical style. The
goal was to write songs that were individually unique while owning the common thread of
big guitars and monstrous drumming.
Synchronicity brought them together and the pure love of playing has cemented a musical
bond that holds tight after 2 releases, “Is This Tonight” (BWR 011) & “Wood and Glass”
(BWR 016), a bass player (Josh Burke), regular touring of the midwest and a personnel
shift to the original power trio lineup. Casanatra aims to reach their apex with the march
2006 release of "Primo Impacto" on Blue Worm Records.
Adventurous yet accessible,
Casanatra has finally created a record that lives up to the sum of their parts. Look for a
U.S. tour in the spring of 2006.
